Cardmaking - musical background with a bass guitar overlay

A card for one of my grandson's who has just started playing base guitar and is loving it!!!  I downloaded the sheet music along with a base guitar image and printed them onto a transparency.  I cut them apart and overlaid them with the sheet music on the top.  I cut a piece of mottled blue and kraft hand decorated paper just a little larger for my background. I used two silver brads to attach the two transparencies to the background paper and adhered this large element to a large black card.  I added the fussy cut greeting to the guitar layer which helps keep the two separated which allows a piece of white paper to be inserted between the two layers so they music can be read.

Working on my November special occasion cards!!

Cardmaking - fall leaves with raffia on beautiful backgrounds

I finished off the kits I had leftover from my September cardmaking session!!  After our fall leaves tour on the eastern part of Canada I just wanted to colour the leaves like they looked on our trip!!!  I watercoloured them to coordinate with their scrapbook paper backgrounds and added some raffia before adhering all these elements to my card fronts!!!  Therese

Cardmaking - finishing up card kits with the shutter and serendipity accents

Here are the four cards I made up from the leftover kits from my September Cardmaking session!!  I embossed the background and added paper piercing.  Secured my shutters and added the serendipity elements with 3D foam tape.  Layered these large elements onto my coordinating card bases.  I have added "Thinking of you" greeting to the butterfly ones as they will go into my IWIN card box for their spring distribution of backpacks.

Cardmaking - flowers and balloons with ribbons and scrapbook backgrounds

I worked on getting the extra card kits finished from my September cardmaking session!! I watercoloured the images - flowers, floral cupcake, a little bear with balloons, a little bird, butterfly and tulip, dded paper piercing with my pattern tracing wheel. I added short pieces of ribbon using double sided tape and then layered them onto coordinating rectangles of cardstock.  Added my background paper to my card and then secured the focal elements with 3D foam tape.  Quick and easy!!  Therese
