Easter card with a ribbon cross and printed greeting

My first Easter card!  I used a piece of packaging for my background - beautiful yellow and white stripes!!  There is a joint below the ribbon vertically and I angled the black gros grain just a bit so it is still covered by the ribbon.  I added a piece across horizontally to create a graphic cross on my background.  I really like the effect!!  I glued this background to a blue green card which coordinates with my greeting.  I really wanted to layer this round colour printed greeting but I could not find a layer colour that did not distract from the cross so I put it on without one using 3D foam tape to give it a bit of dimension.  A simple card with a simple message!!  Love it!

My Art - Christmas cards - O holy night

More of this night sky cardstock!! I had some black and some navy so each person received some of each colour!! I silver embossed the star and tree on the card front. Stamped the tree trunk and O holy night in colour on a quarter sheet of white. We just ripped the white into snowbanks and layered them on the bottom of the card and trimmed them to the card edge. I ripped the greeting snow bank first and then the one with the stem. The leftover was ripped twice more to make two more snowbanks!! I love the texture of the ripped snowbanks!! Cardmaking last night!! My first card used some of the colour printed background paper I created. I highlighted the paper with a small background stamp to add a bit interest! Lots of fun!!
I punched a hole (1 3/8") in the front of the card and layered a 1 1/4" tag on the back inside of the card so it was visible from the front. I embellished the word with a bingo chip !! Mine was used so I added a layer of Future Acrylic Floor Finish to bring back its lustre. Added a little ribbon just for fun!!
Like the simple design of this card which can easily be changed up by using different colours and paper!!
